Established in 1971
Sardi's first opened its doors at 1111 19th St. NW Washington DC in the year 1971. Sardi's founder Mike Sardelis instilled core values that Sardi's implements daily. Sardi's ownership was handed down to Son Philip E Sardelis in 1993. Philip E Sardelis partnered with his cousin Philip G Sardelis and opened Sardi's Pollo A La Brasa in Beltsville Md. July 25, 2008. Both Phils have created a leadership team committed to creating fresh new ideas to propel Sardi's even further into the hearts and stomachs of customers nationwide. Using only the finest ingredients Sardi's culinary team works tirelessly to bring new and flavorful products to people seeking flavorful food nationwide. Sardi's has an inviting atmosphere where the customer is always the main focus. Sardi's is a leader in the Quick-Service industry not only for the quality of products offered, but for the high quality service, and the high standards of its employees.

Philip G Sardelis- Greek- American

Mr. Sardelis grew up in the Food Business, father George Sardelis worked and managed some of the top restaurants in the DC area. Including: the Montpellier Room (at the Madison Hotel), San Souci, il Gardino, The 4 Ways, Duke Zeiberts, and La Maison Blanche. He learned a tremendous amount of information about food quality and customer service. Mr. Sardelis dedication to the finest ingredients and attention to detail drive Sardiís day to day operations. Mr Sardelis strives for the best quality and consistent products from his vendors. Ask any food vendor around town and they will tell you how tough he is.

Philip E. Sardelis- Greek American

While Cousin Philip G is running Sardis Pollo A La Brasa, Philip E is running day to day operations of Sardiís 1.2 million dollar a year Catering operation. Philip E has a passion for customer service, after closing down Sardiís in D.C he single handily grew a catering company from his home kitchen. 4 years later Sardis Catering is handling special events, parties, and corporate luncheons for hundreds of clients in DC, MD, and VA. Most recently Sardiís catering was selected as the premier caterer for one of President Barak Obamaís inaugural Balls. The Peoples Ball Held at the Wilson Building featured 2500 guests that enjoyed all that Sardiís had to offer. Philip E brings over 25 years of valuable experience to Sardiís.
